An example of something we've recently faced, and we do face often, is shareholder disputes, whether it's with family, friends or even just a business partner. This individual ran the company with his partner, and suddenly the partner just decided to take everything over. He cut him out of the computer systems, cut him off the bank accounts, changed Sunbiz, basically changed everything.

Eventually we filed a motion. I was not going to relent, and the judge heard everything. It took a couple of hearings, but the judge realized that our client's rights had been cut off, because of the circumstances, the explanation, the telling of our client's story: this is how they used to operate. This is what he used to do. He'd pay the checks, he would pay the vendors, he would check up on the following people. That level of detail is so that a judge can understand what was really happening here, what happened, and how it's now different.

My client is now controlling the company. The other gentleman is out and lost all managerial control, and my client has been appointed the sole receiver of the company to wind down the company at this point. We were able to show who was who, and that's what we do. We go to bat. Our client is seen at every step, and that's the most important thing to us, because I think that is the best message. It tells a story, and it told the story that our client was fighting for their life. And it came through us, because that's what we are. We represent you, and we make sure that you are seen.
